Well-being – Social Development

The educators collaborate with the senior preschoolers in the Kangaroo room to feel supported, connected and evolve their learning socially, emotionally, physically as they get ready to transit to kindergarten. We encourage the children develop independence and responsibility throughout real-life experience and activities.

Physical Development

At Little Penguin ELC, we support the senior preschoolers in developing their gross and fine motor skills. We equip your child with the skills required as he or she transits to formal schooling.

Language and Literacy Development

We support the graduating children at Little Penguin ELC to become confident speakers who are able to share their thoughts and opinions. Our educators plan for experiences to support the children’s early literacy development such as letter name and sound recognition through games and experiences.

Individual Goals
  • School Readiness

At Little Penguins ELC, our school readiness program focuses on building the necessary skills and building a strong foundation for learning. This prepares the senior preschoolers for their transition into school and the next stages of their lives.

  • Values and Learning Dispositions

Little Penguin ELC strongly believes in the importance of inculcating positive learning dispositions such as perseverance, curiosity, integrity and resilience in our young children to set the children up for life.

  • Home-school partnerships

Our educators reach out to parents frequently to share about the children’s progress and discuss about individual goals to support the senior preschoolers in achieving as they transit to school.
